My September 2021 trip to Las Vegas was my most recent this year. As usual I had a ball even though the pandemic continues. Actually, Las Vegas being in Clark County is doing pretty good with its infection rates. A mask mandate was implemented a few weeks ago. I am glad because the honor system did not work. Hence, everybody is required to mask at indoor venues regardless of vaccination status. This is not simply rhetoric. I was pleasantly surprised to witness many many folks mask inside as compared to my previous trips. This is what I saw…
Excellent signage regarding everyone to mask.
Security posts at entrances to enforce compliance.
Safety stations with signage, hand hygiene and masks.
Electronic gaming is increasing and they look fun!
Plexiglass partitions at many areas and even restrooms.
At my favorite MDW. Less than one hour from my door to the Southwest Gate. No wait at TSA.
Nice flight from MDW to LAS. Notice the Taxi Flat Rates… but add $1. Signage has not yet been updated.
My hotel stay was booked at the Venetian. Nice check-in system. I received an email for check in 24 hours in advance. Notification given at arrival and my room was ready in less than 1 hour. The Mobile App check in line was short and moved fast. At the Venetian, every room is a suite. Fabulous!!!!
Lovely suite at Venetian. They did not offer a housekeeping opt out. But, they were great about having suites completed before noon. Very spacious and awesome suite.
I mainly hung out at the north end of The Strip this trip. Nice day and night photos.
Palm slappers are back, but they are now at Casino Royale. Good to see that the White Castle has reopened!! I did a lot of casino hops! The dog is at Casino Royale… it was a nice quiet pup. The casino by Margaritaville inside of the Flamingo is still desolated. No one played there. It is apparent that area is not staffed. If a voucher gets stuck… who wants to wait all day for service? That part of the casino had construction workers, but many slot machines have been removed. I used to enjoy playing in the area… but no way will I play there.
I walked to Flamingo & Koval searching for the memorial site for Tupac. But, I was unable to locate. I was told that the memorial is by Ellis Island.
Tacos El Gordo is my go to place for tacos!!! It is very popular and always packed. The lines move fast. The tacos are delicious. I usually walk or take The Deuce there and back depending on hot is the weather. Because of the ongoing pandemic, I always get my tacos to go and I eat in the safety and privacy of my hotel room.
Such a nice Venetian / Palazzo atrium.
The “New Normal” in Las Vegas. Electronic Gaming and plexiglass to facilitate public health safety during the pandemic.
Peaceful co-existence among pigeons over at the McDonald’s / Food Court next to Harrah’s.
General photos through “walktography”. The Sphere is under construction. I enjoyed picking up my Egg McMuffin for breakfast.
I did the LONG walk through the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace just to get the the casino. That place is just too huge and folks are guaranteed to get lost in that maze. But, I think I finally know how to navigate it. But, I rarely go to CP and have no plans to return.
I did not care for check out at the Venetian. I am an early bird traveler, so I had to go to the Registration Desk to check out. Make sure you always tip the housekeeper as they really appreciate it. Look at the elevator panel…. LOL! Nice flight back home. I have a fun stay! Thank you!!!
